Our Story

Founded in 2015 by Basheer Ahmed in Bengaluru, SION Semiconductors began as a bold vision to lead the semiconductor industry. After gaining experience at MNCs like Google and Boeing, Basheer pursued his passion for semiconductors and established a company focused on delivering innovative, cutting-edge solutions. From its first domestic client in VLSI design to its global expansion, SION has partnered with industry giants such as Intel, AMD, and ARM.

Over the years, SION has grown from a small team into a global player with 120+ employees and offices across major cities worldwide. We serve industries including AI, robotics, and industrial automation, consistently delivering exceptional solutions that push the boundaries of technology. Our journey continues with an unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.

2015: Company Formed in Bangalore
SION Semiconductors was established, driven by a vision to lead in semiconductor innovation.
2016 – First Domestic Corporate Customer for VLSI Design Services
Our first major corporate client marked the beginning of many successful partnerships.
2017 – First Overseas Corporate Customer for Turnkey Project
We expanded internationally, delivering turnkey projects to global clients.
2018 – Team Grows to 20 Members
Our team expanded to meet the growing demands of the industry.
2019 – Footprint in Singapore and 10 Clients
We expanded our operations to Singapore, with 10 domestic and international clients.
2020 – Top Semiconductor Client and Team Growth
Secured a top semiconductor client, and our team size grew to 50 members.
2021 – Serving Top 5 Global Semiconductor Companies
Our client list included the top 5 global semiconductor companies, and our team grew to 80.
2022 – Turnkey Projects Worth USD 1M
We achieved a major milestone with turnkey projects worth USD 1M.
